In February of 2023, our world changed forever when our daughter, Everly Rose Baker, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at just 8 years old. Before her diagnosis, Everly lived a life full of joy and adventure, exploring the world through gymnastics, dance, and roller coasters. She thrived on her own terms, leading impromptu dance parties, enjoying summer days at Grandma’s pool, and styling her outfits with flair. Everly was a vibrant force of nature, embodying the spirit of what it means to be truly living.
As her treatment journey began, hospital stays became a new norm for our family. The uncertainty of treatments and overnight stays meant Everly needed her world to feel a bit more like home and a little less scary. To help her cope, we made sure to surround her with the comforts she loved: an army of Squishmallows, cozy blankets, and games like UNO and arts and crafts to beat boredom.
Tragically, Everly lost her courageous battle in September of 2023. In her honor, we are dedicated to ensuring that other children facing cancer have access to the comforts and distractions they need during their toughest times. Every donation helps us provide a child with an Essentially Everly Tote filled with helpful items for comfort and creativity during hospital stays.
Each tote will include:
A collection of cozy blankets or plush toys
Arts and crafts supplies to inspire creativity
Engaging card games like UNO
A gift card
Additional boredom busting games and activities
